Ignite 2025 delivered one of the most dynamic speaker lineups in the conference’s history, highlighted by the return of Jon Acuff, who had helped launch the very first Ignite in 2018. Bringing him back created a meaningful full-circle moment, while the appearance of a professional MMA fighter added an entirely different kind of energy, with powerful lessons on discipline, resilience, preparation and continuing to fight through adversity. The year also introduced a custom Ignite theme song written by local Northeast Mississippi band, WAVORLY, adding an original soundtrack to the conference experience.
The Local Leader Spotlight featured Norris Grizzard of WM, formerly Waste Management, and gave attendees a closer look at leadership within one of the region’s most recognizable companies. His story brought the focus back home, showing how strong leadership, steady decision-making and commitment to people can create lasting impact within an organization and across the community.
