Ignite 2020 welcomed a sold-out crowd of more than 700 attendees and featured a lineup that blended nationally recognized thought leaders with local entrepreneurial talent. Gretchen Rubin, New York Times bestselling author of The Happiness Project and The Four Tendencies, explored how people form habits and better understand themselves and others, while former Southwest Airlines culture executive Ginger Hardage challenged common assumptions about workplace culture and shared lessons from one of the country’s most admired companies.
The program also included humor engineer Drew Tarvin, who showed how humor can improve workplace performance; economic developer, author and podcaster Ron Kitchens, who spoke about building strong multigenerational teams; and author and speaker Carlos Whittaker, who focused on creating meaningful moments and living with greater intention. Local chef and entrepreneur Mitch McCamey brought the story close to home by sharing his own path to success and even performing a live cooking demonstration on stage, giving Ignite 2020 a memorable mix of leadership, culture, humor, entrepreneurship and practical inspiration.
